Mr. Mehboob Chowdhury has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Citycell, the pioneer mobile phone operator of Bangladesh.

He had held important positions in the telecom industry with 10 years experience in GP and Banglalink. He was previously Director Sales and Marketing of Grameen Phone and later Chief Commercial Officer of Banglalink. He was the Chairman of GSM Asia Pacific and currently is the Chairman of South Asia Mobile Forum. He has an extensive experience in the fields of Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Strategy and Customer Management. It is my great pleasure to be a part of the country's pioneer mobile phone operator. As the country's lone CDMA mobile phone operator, Citycell has already achieved a lot in gaining customer satisfaction and is moving towards to offer better products and services. In my new role at Citycell, I look forward to making Citycell as the most preferred telecom operator of Bangladesh, said Citycell's new CEO Mehboob Chowdhury.
Also Mr. David Lee has recently joined as Chief Operating Officer of Citycell. Mr. Lee previously worked as Deputy Chief Commercial Officer (COO) at one of the leading mobile phone operator in Pakistan. He has rendered more than 36 years of dedicated service to SingTel mainly in business development and expansion of SingTel's data businesses reach in the Asia Pacific Region.
